Hi,

got a ipod touch 2nd gen and having problems connecting to my work's visitor wifi...my lap top connects just fine.  They are using the following:

Network Authentication:  WPA2-PSK
Data Encryption:  AES

After I enter the password (which works for the laptop) the touch is telling me that it is connected and even assigning me an ip address, but when I actually try to get on the internet, I get an error and safari tells me that it isn't connected to the internet?  Same thing happens when I try to check my yahoo mail as well.  I know a couple other poeple here at work and they are having the same problems, even some guy with an iphone is having issues with it.

I don't get it...anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks,
C

This exact problem happened to me setting up my moms itouch.  I talked to someone at Apple and they told me the 2nd generation itouches HAVE to set up on a WEP Network.  She said there is issues with the new new touch and WPA.

Give that a shot and let me know if it works for you.  Smiley

Serenitie,

So I'm a little confused...were you able to get it setup on the wpa2 network or did you just change the whole network over to the wep?  I say this because switching my network over at work is NOT an option.
