New iPod Touch will not connect to home WiFi System. Please Help. Thanks.

I just purchased a new iPod Touch and although it reflects my home WiFi system as available and I have the password, I keep getting the message "Unable to Connect..."  I've done EVERYTHING possible to fix this problem based upon help postings I've read.  I've spent countless hours trying to connect but can't.  Other devices connect to my home WiFi w/no problems, so I know my Linksys router is working properly. Can someone who's experienced this problem possibly share their remedy with detailed steps to clear this problem?  The general "how to steps" (reset network, connect to "Other", etc. I've already tried).  I really need a remedy that addresses why, when my home WiFi system (with strongest signal) is available and I have correct password/key, it will not connect.  THANK YOU.

I couldn't figure out how to edit my original message but want everyone to know that the resolution to my problem was extremely simple.  I've spent countless hours all week to get my WiFi connected to my network and I ran across a posting on another help site that said all she did was to make sure that the password was keyed in exactly as appearing on the router site (all caps) and that was the problem.  I entered it FULL CAPS & numbers and was IMMEDIATELY connected to my network.  I now can fully enjoy my new iPod Touch!
